Now, if you knew me you'd know I've got a varied taste in music. Recent CD purchases include your current "alternative" chart toppers (Hives, Interpol, etc), but also the real country music (George Jones, Hank, Willie, Waylon, Cash, of course Dwight), so I 've got the new Loretta Lynn (mad props to Loretta and Jack White on the Grammy for country album). My most recent BMG order included Earth, Wind and Fire and The Staples Singers, along with Black Star.
But the music I grew up on, what is now know as the 70/80's classic rock has been ignored. Oh sure, still listen to the Stones from that era, Dylan, but the more AOR stuff I couldn't take, until recently. I just can't get enough of ELO, Boston, I even had Journey turned up to 11 the other day in my truck (it was on the radio, I don't own any Journey).
But, anyway, I go through the phases and right now that's what it is. Although, I can't get all the way back to Styx. I was a big fan, "Pieces of Eight" and all that. But still can't do that. Sorry Mr. DeYoung.
